One recipe for the whole table.

For the Tuesday evening when nobody agrees.

Briomel knows everyone's tastes, allergies and kitchen equipment at your place. It creates the recipe that suits everybody, then the weekly menu and the shopping list follow.

Everyone has their tastes,
one single recipe

Briomel adapts tonight's dish to the people sitting at the table, without cooking three different recipes.

Adapting a recipe in your head, replacing the problem ingredient, recalculating quantities for six instead of four: you already do it, dish after dish, often at 7 pm. Briomel takes care of it as soon as the recipe is created, with everyone's allergens and tastes taken into account, and explains each substitution.

The weekly menu and the shopping list follow from it. All that is left is to go to the store.

The same tartiflette,
adapted to two different households

A concrete example:

A lactose-intolerant child

The recipe suggests an alternative to the cream, flags the cheese as a point of caution and leaves the rest of the dish untouched. Nobody eats separately.

A vegetarian teenager, six at the table

The bacon is replaced by pan-fried mushrooms, the quantities go from four to six servings, and the cooking times adjust accordingly. The dish stays the same, and the meal works for everyone.

The principle in four ideas

One profile per person, and everything else follows.

How it works

Four steps, and the whole table is taken care of.

  1. 1

    Create a recipe

Quick fix: one sentence is enough, even "something with pasta, no cilantro". You also have Inspirations, the Creation workshop and Import. Each recipe comes in a short, normal or long version.

  2. 2

    Plan the week

Lunch and dinner, by hand or in one tap. The menu builds on what is left in the pantry and the fridge, takes into account who is at the table each day, and avoids repeating last Tuesday's stew.

  3. 3

    Do your shopping

The list fills up from a recipe or from the week, sorted by aisle, quantities added up. What is already in your fridge does not appear in the week's list.

  4. 4

    Cook hands-free

The steps are read aloud. No more screen covered in flour: one shake, and the next step.

Designed for your household, whatever it looks like

Servings, quantities and constraints adjust to the number of people actually at the table.

Why we built Briomel

Every table has its constraints

A tree nut allergy, a gluten-free diet, someone who cannot stand cilantro, a child who sorts out the vegetables. Adapting every recipe in your head takes constant attention, and the slightest distraction can have serious consequences.

Household profiles are filled in once. Recipes are then created for everyone, with consistent substitutions and points of caution, without ever replacing the reading of the labels on the products you buy.

The mental load of meals

Deciding what to eat, checking what is left, calculating quantities for the number of people present, remembering to buy everything again: organizing everything before cooking often weighs more than the cooking itself. The weekly menu is built from your pantry, your fridge and who is really there, and the shopping list follows.

Family recipes get lost

A notebook put away in a drawer, a recipe told over the phone but never written down, screenshots piling up that nobody rereads. A spring clean or a move is enough for a page to disappear for good.

Briomel welcomes them: import them from a link, a text or a photo, and keep them within reach of the whole household for years.

Briomel features

Everything you need to feed a household day to day, nothing superfluous.

Frequently asked questions

Is the app free?

Free. A short ad is shown when you create a recipe, just before it starts simmering.

How does Briomel take allergies into account?

Each household member has a profile where you enter their allergens, dislikes, diet and tastes. Recipes are created with these in mind: an ingredient that is a problem for someone is replaced, quantities are recalculated and points of caution are flagged recipe by recipe. Always check the labels of the products you buy: Briomel never replaces them.

How do I add a recipe that is not already in the app?

Four ways: Quick fix (one sentence, Briomel takes care of the rest), Inspirations, Creation workshop, or Import from a link, a text or the photo of a notebook. The recipes you create are adapted to your household.

Does Briomel change the recipes I import?

No. An imported recipe is formatted and flagged: Briomel points out what is a problem for someone in the household and suggests an alternative. It is only changed if you ask for it.

Do my family recipes stay private?

Yes, by default: your recipes belong to your household and are only visible to its members. You decide whether you share one by link, and with whom. The recipes Briomel creates for you may also join, after review, a public selection of anonymized recipes, with no link to your household and no personal photo: archive a recipe within 24 hours of its creation so that it is never reviewed. Imported recipes are never concerned.

Can several people in the household use the same account?

Each member has their own account, but everyone shares the same household: recipes, the weekly menu and the shopping list are common and update for everyone at the same time.

Which devices is Briomel available on?

iPhone and Android. The household content is identical on all its members' devices.
